Women’s break­fast

TIO e.V. pro­vi­des a sup­port­i­ve envi­ron­ment for suc­cessful lear­ning by pro­vi­ding women with oppor­tu­ni­ties to meet and con­nect. One exam­p­le is the weekly women’s break­fast held on Wed­nes­days, which offers a wel­co­ming space for women to come tog­e­ther and exch­an­ge ide­as on various topics. The­se topics are usual­ly cho­sen by the migrant women them­sel­ves, enab­ling open dia­lo­gue among women from diver­se cul­tu­ral back­grounds. Through this exch­an­ge of cont­acts and infor­ma­ti­on, the women col­la­bo­ra­tively deve­lop and prac­ti­ce stra­te­gies for mana­ging ever­y­day life. In doing so, they sup­port and empower one ano­ther and learn tog­e­ther through shared expe­ri­en­ces.

Kom­mu­ni­ka­ti­ons­kurs für geflüch­te­te Frau­en

The com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on cour­se is a group-based pro­gram desi­gned for refu­gee women. Its aim is to help par­ti­ci­pan­ts bet­ter under­stand ever­y­day life in Ger­ma­ny and to pro­vi­de infor­ma­ti­on about various coun­seling ser­vices and insti­tu­ti­ons. The cour­se focu­ses on women-spe­ci­fic topics such as child­ca­re and paren­ting, dome­stic vio­lence, pregnan­cy, con­tracep­ti­on, and rela­ted issues.

In addi­ti­on, the group set­ting offers par­ti­ci­pan­ts the oppor­tu­ni­ty to enga­ge in direct exch­an­ge with other women who are in simi­lar situa­tions, fos­te­ring mutu­al sup­port and shared under­stan­ding.

Kon­ver­sa­ti­ons­kurs

This cour­se is aimed at women who recei­ve bene­fits under SGB II and who have alre­a­dy com­ple­ted an inte­gra­ti­on cour­se. Its main focus is pro­fes­sio­nal inte­gra­ti­on. Par­ti­ci­pan­ts recei­ve sup­port with wri­ting job appli­ca­ti­ons, rese­ar­ching employ­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties, and, whe­re neces­sa­ry, pre­pa­ring for job inter­views.

This con­ver­sa­ti­on-based cour­se places a strong empha­sis on spea­king, dis­cus­sing a wide ran­ge of topics, and impro­ving expres­si­ve skills. The par­ti­ci­pan­ts learn to com­mu­ni­ca­te more con­fi­dent­ly and to fur­ther deve­lop their basic know­ledge of the Ger­man lan­guage. The exch­an­ge bet­ween the par­ti­ci­pan­ts and the ins­truc­tor not only enhan­ces lan­guage lear­ning but also encou­ra­ges the women to act inde­pendent­ly and with grea­ter self-con­fi­dence in ever­y­day situa­tions.

In addi­ti­on, gram­ma­ti­cal know­ledge is refres­hed and rein­forced throug­hout the cour­se.
